Field report SX20 -Yachtline-: Lake Constance

The first year with our first motorboat, the SX20 -Yachtline- from Öchsner, on Lake Constance was full of adventures. A first unforgettable moment was launching the piece of jewelry with the crane. It was exciting to see the boat gliding gently into the water and the anticipation of future adventures was literally palpable.
Right from the start there was a challenge with the anchor. The electric windlass refused to release. With telephone assistance from Mr. Küffner and Mr. Öchsner, we were able to fix the problem manually, but it later turned out that we had not tightened the thread tightly enough. In any case, the anchor came loose one day while the boat was at full speed and got stuck in the screw. Fortunately, the damage was settled with comprehensive insurance and the repair was carried out professionally by the Öchsner company.

Despite these initial difficulties, we made the most of our time on Lake Constance with our SX20 -Yachtline- and really enjoyed it. Our favorite anchoring option was near the enchanting island of Mainau. We spent relaxing days there with wine, cheese and sausage and enjoyed jumping into the clear water to cool off. Thanks to the precisely fitting awnings that protected us from sunburn, we were able to enjoy the sun to the fullest.

What really made these trips special was the fact that we often had our children and grandchildren with us. The boat became a place of togetherness, joy and shared adventures. We will always remember the smiling faces of the young family members.
While our motorboat experience on Lake Constance may have presented some unexpected challenges, it also introduced us to the beauty and joy of life on the water and we look forward to more years of boating and family adventures on this beautiful boat.

Our SX20 -Yachtline- always demonstrated stable and safe driving behavior in wind and weather. This gave us the confidence to explore Lake Constance even in unpredictable conditions.
