Experience report SX20 -Yachtline-: Elbe, Lausitzer Seenland, Müritz

After we had an inflatable boat for about 2 years, the desire for a permanent boat grew. It’s not that we weren’t satisfied with our dinghy, but people always strive for more.
So the search on the net for possible models began. It should be around 6m, trailerable and also have some small amenities on board. The selection is very large. So I tried to narrow down the models and went looking for boats made in Germany, because it was also important to me to have a personal contact person for every situation.
This is how we came across the Öchsner company. The SX20 -Yachtline- caught my eye and my wife was blown away too. So we made an appointment and off to Kürnach to see Mr. Küffner. In May 2021 we were able to see the model live for the first time. Simply cute and perfect the boat. Now looking for a parking space, because we will not have the boat as a water berth. Find a parking space and go. The order was made.
In December 2021 we were already able to visit “our boat”, which we did. In addition, we were able to complete the theoretical instruction with Mr. Küffner. Mr. Küffner is simply a patient and always willing to provide information. Many thanks again to the entire Öchsner team. In March 2022 the time had come. We were able to pick up our “Littel Pearl” in the most beautiful spring weather. The instruction trip with Mr. Öchsner Florian was also fantastic. At all times he gave us the feeling, even as non-professionals, that we could handle the boat easily. And that worked great as well. Slip in easy, slip out easy.

Trips

After the first smaller trips over the Elbe and the Senftenberger See with adjacent lakes, we went on our first big holiday to the Rheinsberger See near the Müritz. The boat on the trailer is very good-natured, there were no problems with trailering. Only the brake linkage rattles on bad roads, but once you know what it is, you’ll have peace of mind that nothing’s broken. The slipping is now also quite easy, but we learn a little more every day. That’s just really fun.

Equipment

We have pretty much ticked all the boxes in the catalog and do not regret it in any way. The fridge is just awesome. Does exactly what it’s supposed to do, and quite quickly: cooling!
I wouldn’t want to do without the electric anchor winch again and would recommend it to anyone who is still unsure whether to order it or not. The pressure water system for showering and washing is also impeccable. We have already been able to test some of the sun sails. A must-have in hot summers like this one, and maybe later in Croatia, too.

Conclusion

We are completely satisfied and happy with our “Little Pearl”. it has already given us many happy hours on the water. It was and still is a great collaboration with the Öchsner company. We would like to say a big thank you again to the Öchsner company. Especially our personal contacts, Mrs Beck, Mr Küffner and Mr Öchsner junior. A very nice team.
