Experience report SX20 -Yachtline-: Main

The new season has begun and I was really looking forward to picking up my “Muneca” from winter storage at “Öchsner-Boote”. Before that, a quick watch of the video “Slipping” to pick up on how it ended last season, and then to the harbor… This year I got a berth in Aschaffenburg.

The raft harbor in “Bavarian Nice” is much bigger than the harbor in Lohr and I first had to find my way around. New season, new luck. Being close to home and the office had the advantage that I could use the boat more often – even if it was just once to spend my lunch break on it with colleagues and take a break from everyday life.

This section of the Main offers a lot of beautiful views, be it Johannisburg Castle or the Pompejanum… it’s even more beautiful from the water than from land… Due to time constraints, no multi-day tours were undertaken this year either, but many day or half-day excursions, celebrations with friends and family or just chilling out and relaxing. By the way, this happens very quickly once you’re on the boat…
I have also used it in part as a substitute home office, although working there is not perceived as working… A great advantage that is fun…

I have no complaints this year either; the boat is of high quality and you can tell. Incidentally, I used the camper top for the first time this season – after a successful afternoon with friends in glorious sunshine, the evening ended in the harbor – when it suddenly started to rain. It was easy and quick to set up and the fun evening could continue…

All in all, it was another successful season, which ended, as always, at the “Öchsner Team” winter camp. Many thanks again for the great support as always, André Z.
