Field report 20 -Yachtline-: Lake Constance / Old Rhine

Hi, I’m Gerhard and I’d like to tell you how we finally found our dream boat:
My wife and I, as well as our 2 children, have wanted to own our own boat for several years. Unfortunately, it was very difficult to find a berth in the Lake Constance area, especially on the Austrian side of the lake. But we didn’t give up on our dream. Then, unfortunately, the coronavirus pandemic hit in 2019 and we bought an inflatable boat.

By chance, we were offered a boat with a berth at Marina Rheinhof in Altenrhein and we accepted immediately. This boat, the 20 -Yachtline- from Öchsner, was exactly the boat we had always imagined. We all immediately took the Lake Constance skipper’s license. Since the spring of 2021, we have been taking turns on our yacht line and always have a great time there. This 2023 season was a fantastic summer and we spent many hours on the boat. Excursions to Meersburg or Constance are also on our program, of course with an overnight stay on the boat. We would like to visit many more places on Lake Constance and are already looking forward to the coming season.
