Field report SX20 -Yachtline-: Lake Constance

The SX20 -Yachtline- is our second boat. The first boat was a slightly smaller boat, also with a slip cabin and a 100 hp Mercury outboard. My wife and I came across the SX20 from Öchsner on the Internet and spontaneously decided to visit Öchsner to inspect the boat because of its more practical layout and the fact that it was equipped with a toilet and washbasin. Not only the fact that the boat made a very good impression on us, but also the excellent advice and the good overall impression we received from the company on site, prompted us to order the SX20 immediately and we decided to sell our boat, which was only 2 years old.

Since the summer of 2022, we have been sailing with our “Ella” in various areas (Mecklenburg Lake District, Rhine and mainly on Lake Constance). The build quality of the boat and the handling characteristics are convincing. It is always a pleasure to go out with the SX20. The electric anchor winch has also proved to be excellent. Every swim stop was a comparatively laborious undertaking with our previous boat. With every new boat, you naturally encounter unexpected problems. We received quick and problem-solving help from Öchsner, mostly in the person of Mr. Küffner, for all questions in this regard.
We had the camper cover that came with the boat customized to our wishes by a local boat upholsterer during the first winter. Since the second season, our “Ella” has been an absolutely perfect boat.
