Experience report SRX30 -Yachtline-: Danube & Croatia

Why Öchsner?

We saw Öchsner boats for the first time at the boat show in Friedrichshafen in 2015. We immediately fell in love with the Öchsner 29 -Yachtline- and ordered one in the same year. The decisive factor was that it was the largest trailerable boat of its time.

In 2021 we got our SRX30 -Yachtline- from Öchsner. This time we also ordered a trailer and were pleasantly surprised by the trailer driving characteristics. The coordination between the trailer and the boat is excellent. We opted for the same engine (220 hp, diesel) again, as it had already impressed us on the previous boat due to its smooth running and economy.

Comfort in the cabin

Worth mentioning is the enlarged bathroom, the space-saving sliding door in the owner’s cabin, the elegant design with dark wood and lighting. The waste bin is now also located under the steps incl. a small storage space. My children especially appreciate this: The underfloor cabin has a larger window. The refrigerator in the cabin, which is now 60% larger, is extremely practical.

Outside, we like the flexible rear seating area. With just a few handles, you can turn the bench into a sunbathing area. Our highlight is the dinghy package. It was particularly practical in Croatia, as you didn’t have to go to the full jetty, but simply anchored outside and could take the boat ashore. The multifunctional roof is also worth mentioning. Depending on the position of the sun, you can adjust it to the right position. The fresh water display proved to be very convenient and practical on vacation. My children especially liked the Bluetooth jukeboxes in the boat.

Travelogue Croatia

We have been taking our boat to Croatia since 1998. Whether it’s bad weather, meter-high waves or a relaxed day in the bay followed by an overnight stay. Our Yachtline is always a faithful, reliable companion. Since we are proud Öchsner boat owners, the 4 of us live on it for weeks on vacation. We have already visited many islands, such as the island of Ilovik, where we spent the night on a buoy and took our dinghy ashore. We have also visited the picturesque village of Valun on the island of Cres. We sailed to Rovinj for half a day in heavy seas. Despite high waves in the open sea, our boat did not let us down and brought us safely to our destination of Rovinj.

Whether on the calm Danube or the stormy sea. Our Öchsner boat delights us every time and makes the already beautiful days on the water even more beautiful. We are already looking forward to our next vacation in Croatia next year.
