Experience report SRX30 -Yachtline-: Danube, Mediterranean

We are one of those customers who were looking for a boat that offers as much space as possible and can still be trailered in accordance with the rules. So – it turned out to be the SRX 30, a wonderful boat about which a lot has already been written in previous reports. And so as not to end up with repetitions – it was a good decision.

Despite full equipment and an extra hot water boiler, the towing capacity was around 3300 kg. Simply great !

After the handover, we set off for over 600 kilometers to Austria, our home territory on the Danube. The ride was so smooth – you can hardly feel the trailer. I have towed many a boat or horse trailer, but the aluminum trailer from Öchsner is really worth the money. Bravo !

It was now the end of July, so we couldn’t go to the sea again this year. But it’s also beautiful at home, so we sailed the Danube, went swimming and also went on a 3-day trip to the Wachau. But then it was clear – a mattress topper was needed! We like it a little softer. Otherwise everything was wonderful. The hot shower is recommended – the weather in August was sometimes like this and sometimes like that. We love this boat, which we have christened PIA – short for Piacere, Italian for pleasure.

Unfortunately, the summer was – of course – too short. But the next one is sure to come. We already have lots of plans for 2023.

A few brief words about the company. Öchsner: Of course, this is “complaining on a high level”, but we would have liked a little more flexibility here and there. The soft top, for example, is undoubtedly great, but we have it modified a little because unfortunately it can’t simply be rolled up sideways. The registration of the trailer in Austria did not work right away.

But in the end everything was fine and we would like to thank the company. Öchsner for the pleasant and friendly cooperation. Thank goodness we have a Volvo Penta dealer near us, because it would be too far for us to go to Kürnach. But – if someone is looking for a great trailerable cabin motorboat for 4 to a maximum of 5 people – they will find it here. Small change required 😉
