Purchase decision and handover
My wife and I came across the Öchsner company in Kürnach on the Internet when we were looking for a trailerable boat. After making an appointment in 2019 for a viewing and consultation with Mr. Sven Küffner in Kürnach, we configured our dream boat and ordered it promptly. Mr. Küffner gave us very professional advice and good tips.
The handover of our SRX 30 -Yachtline- took place in April 2022 by Mr. Florian Öchsner on the Main. As this was our first boat, we had mixed feelings about the boat handover, especially the slipping in and out. The briefing by Mr. Öchsner and the first trip on the Main dispelled all our doubts and convinced us of the boat’s good handling.
The return journey home was also no problem, as the aluminum trailer with its various wide axles sits well on the road and runs very smoothly behind the vehicle. Back in our home port in Mannheim, we familiarized ourselves with the boat’s technology and handling during trips on the Rhine.
Vacation on the Adriatic Sea
In mid-June, we took our boat out of the water and headed to the sea for our first vacation. We drove via Switzerland to Italy in the direction of the Bay of Trieste. We booked a berth in the Marina Primero near Grado. Craning in the marina was a first for us, but it worked very well.
The next day we started to explore the area. We not only went out on the open sea, but also explored the canals and waterways between Grado and Venice. These channels begin directly behind our marina. The landscape is indescribably beautiful, with unique natural diversity.
We alternated between the sandy beach at Grado and Lignano di Sabbiadoro, then the opposite coast off Trieste. We found our favorite swimming spot below the Castello di Duino and good restaurants and bars in the port of Portopiccolo.
After 14 days of vacation, we decided to leave the boat in the marina in Italy and spend another 8 days on our boat there three weeks later.
After our vacation, we completely cleaned the boat of seawater and salt at home.
As for the boat itself, it has to be said that it is a very good and solid boat. We were impressed by the space and handling, as well as the low fuel consumption. The Öchsner company did a very good job, for which we would like to thank them once again.
We are looking forward to the 2023 season because we have booked Grado in Italy again.
Best regards from Klaus & Rita. R.
