In this report, I would like to focus in particular on the purchase and service right up to the handover, as this is a very important procedure.
We met Team Öchsner for the first time at the “Boot” in Düsseldorf and we were very impressed by the size of the boat, especially because it is a trailerable boat. This applies in particular to the headroom inside.
Our first visit to Kürnach and driving days
We held the meeting in Kürnach with Mr. Küffner. We asked a lot of questions there, from equipment and technology to sailing areas. All questions were answered patiently and professionally, which made us as customers feel very satisfied and confident that we were in the right hands. In the meetings, our wishes were addressed in detail, even if they were special and deviated from the standard.
This is also a great advantage when making such purchases in a “smaller” company. Extras are taken into account and everything is done to fulfill the customer’s special wishes. Mr. Küffner explained and demonstrated many of our questions on an SRX30 -Yachtline- in the exhibition hall, which we found very helpful.
The final icing on the cake were the sailing days, when we were able to get an impression of how the boat handles, both when slipping and when sailing on the Main. The test drive was very extensive and unhurried, so we got a very good impression of the boat.
As a result of all this, a deal was struck to order an SRX30 -Yachtline-.
Even after the contract was signed, we were not left alone. Naturally, questions arose for us and things had to be clarified. We were in constant contact with each other throughout the entire period from contract conclusion to delivery. All points to be clarified were resolved amicably and to our complete satisfaction. During this time, we were in contact with Mr. Küffner and Ms. Beck. I would like to take this opportunity to say a special thank you to Ms. Beck, who has always provided us with very good, fast and reliable support and help with everything. Anything that could not be clarified immediately on the phone was answered within a very short time. Exemplary. High praise!
The handover in Kürnach
The handover went very well. The paperwork and the associated declarations were completed by Mr. Küffner. Afterwards we went to the Main with Mr. Öchsner and our boat. Sliding in, test drive, explanation of all functions and questions.
Everything was answered and helpful tips were passed on. You can’t expect more in terms of instruction. Everything else has to be worked out and acquired step by step. We are still in this process at the moment. Any questions that arose here were also clarified quickly and helpfully by telephone with Mr. Küffner.
However, it is a MUST that you watch the videos for yacht owners on the website (customer login) before handing over the boat. This is very helpful and eliminates the need for many questions. It is also very good that the written information is still available there, so that it can be referred to again and again if necessary.
I only have positive things to say about the journey home with the impressive team. The trailer is very easy to drive and maneuver. The different track width of the two axles has a very positive effect; ruts on the right-hand lane of the highway are not an issue at all. The trailer is also very maneuverable. We live in a cul-de-sac with a turning hammer. Turning in the turning chamber went smoothly in one go, with the wheels practically turning on the spot. Mr. Öchsner had already assured me that this would not be a problem at the handover.
Many thanks to the Öchsner team and best wishes from the Siegerland!
