From the Danube to the dreamlike island world of Croatia

Spend your summer vacation at sea, explore the islands and bays of Croatia, marina or port only when supplies (food, water, diesel…) run out! We had this dream in mind when we decided to buy the DRAGO 29!

And since 2012 we have been fulfilling this dream! Now for the 4th time we moved our DRAGO from the Danube to Croatia this summer. The day before the start, after putting it away, we briefly put on the scales – like every year – everything was okay – like every year – and then we started towards Krk – like every year. And as every year, we were followed by incredulous looks because of the size of our “appendage”.

After a completely uncomplicated drive – as every year – at a speed between 80 and 90 km/h we reached our destination, the Marina Punat.

From there we started our 3-week vacation through the islands of Croatia. The southernmost point of our trip this year was the island of Solta (after we only turned around in Dubrovnik last year). We made our way back via Primosten, Sibenik, Dugi Otok etc. to our obligatory last stop, the bay Kolorat at the southern tip of Cres.

After a fantastically beautiful trip, we loaded our faithful DRAGO, which – as every year  – reliably carried us through calm, but also stormy seas, onto the trailer.

During the drive home the next day, we were already making plans for the holiday year 2016.
