Travel Facts
In early august, our exciting journey began with the SR30 yachtline, which we received in april this year. Through our one-week test tour in june on the Main, we set off on our summer holiday to Croatia.
Arrival with overnight stays on the boat
Crossing with the ferry Stinica - island Rab
Lopar - island Rab / Stay in the marina and swim on the sandy beach
From the San Marino campsite
Arrival in Rab
Since the journey was too long for us, we use the boat to sleep on a rest stop one night. As a result, we were able to approach the rest of the route to the ferry in a relaxed way.
Thanks to a smooth ferry crossing, we finally arrived on the island of Rab. Despite the lack of reservation on site, we were immediately assigned a place in the marina of Lopar and the boat was let to sea on the same day by crane.
After all, we were very relieved and happy when we were allowed to move into our floating home for the coming three weeks.
In order to let the journey sink a bit, we spent the first nights in Lopar and the surrounding area. After the boat was adequately equipped with food, water and electricity, we embarked on our personal adventure. We have to admit that it was strange to just drive off and not know where to end up in the evening.
Obrovac
Our tour began along the mainland towards Obrovac. This small place was previously recommended to us by other guests from Lopar.
The route was too far for us for one day, so we stayed one night in Novigrad.
The next day it went on. Because you have to drive through a very low bridge at Obrovac, our adjustable top was worth "gold."
Lopar – island of Rab/ slip road bay Sturic with bathing stay
Then return to Lopar
Lopar - island Rab / exit bay Sv. Mara with bathing stay
Continue to drive Rab city to refuel, then return to Lopar
Vlasici-Pag island
Then we were allowed to drive through a long canyon at the end of which there was a waterfall.
The nature around the canyon was absolutely fascinating and the jump from the waterfall a real experience. Then we spent the night in a picturesque bay in the village of Vlasici on the island of Pag.
The restaurant adjacent there is absolutely recommended.
Well-recovered we went on to Zadar the next day.
Continue to Obrovac with canyons and waterfall
Continue to Vlasici - island of Pag with overnight stay
Zadar
Here we refuelled and then explored the old town. The old buildings and small alleyways are very impressive.
In the evening, the city comes to life and the streets fill with artists and visitors from all over the world.
Continue to Zaton with a bathing stay
Continue to Zadar with overnight stay (pier) and refueling
Continuation of the bay at Kukljica - island Ugljan
Continue to the bay of Sv. Ante - Pasman Island with overnight stay (buoy)
Pasman island
Because we were travelling with two children, it was very important for us to always take bath days to keep our boys happy.
A very sheltered and at the same time beautiful bay is Sv. Ante on the island of Pasman. Here we created and stayed for the first time on a buoy.
Then we went to Pirovac in the ACI Marina, as our refrigerators had to be restocked.
Continuation of the Vela Luka bay with a bathing stay
Continuation to Pirovac with overnight stay (ACI Marina)
Island Zirje
After another day of bathing in the bay of Potkucina on the island of Kakan, we reached our main destination the Krka falls. You can take the boat to the marina Skradin to change to an excursion steamer, which takes you to the national park.
This natural spectacle thrilled us all and the cooling among the waterfalls was the absolute highlight.
Since we did not want to stay overnight in Skradin, we drove in the evening to Vodice in the ACI marina to stay there. Here we also bought our ticket for the archipelago of the Kornati, because the next day we wanted to do a bathing stop in the bay of Stupica on the island of Zirje.
Continue to Skradin - visit Krka waterfalls
Continue to Vodice with overnight stay (ACI Marina) and refueling
Because a storm came over us, we unfortunately had to spend two nights at a buoy there. Protected by the deck and the ample available space even below deck, we were able to bridge the time with playing cards well.
A supply ship brought fresh bread and fruit in one morning.
Although still very windy and wavy we were able to continue our journey after two days.
Continue to Muna - island Zirje for shopping
Continuation of the island of Lavsa - Kornati with overnight stay (buoy)
Continuing Lojena bay – Levrnaka island (Kornati) with a bathing stay
Continuation to the island of Piskera (Kornati islands) with overnight stay (ACI Marina)
Lojena-Levrnaca island
It continued towards Kornati. An absolutely overwhelming landscape.
Here is one of the most beautiful marinas – the ACI marina Piskera, where we also stayed one night.
Now it was so slowly back towards Lopar on the island of Rab.
Onward journey Sali – island of Dugi Otok for shopping
Continuing Vodenjak bay – island of Mali Iz with swimming and overnight stay (buoy)
Continue Bokasin and Dumboka - Dugi Otok Island to visit Submarine bunker
Continuing northern tip island of Dugi Otok – viewing sunken ital. freighter
Continuation of the Luka Soliscica bay - Dugi Otok island with overnight stay (buoy)
Rab island
Continue Novalja - island of Pag to refuel
Continuation of the Mag bay to the island of Rab with a swim

Lopar – island of Rab/ slip road bay Sturic with bathing stay
Visit Rab town in the evening
Departure with overnight stays on the boat
Arrival Germany
After almost four weeks of beautiful weather, turquoise blue water and numerous experiences, the journey home has been extremely difficult for us. Since we were already in a traffic jam for hours on the way to the Slovenian border, we also spent a night in the boat on the way home. As a family of 4, we had enough space in the SR30 yachtline and were able to enjoy our holiday very much. We are already looking forward to our next holiday, which will certainly take place again in Croatia.
Thank you dear family Öchsner for unforgettable days!
